Hey Ya'll- I just thought I would post an example of one of my custom christmas cards. I also have one of this same style but in more natural colors (browns...) I will be adding a few more examples in the next few days!

Christmas Portraits in the Snow!

Hey Everyone! Thanks for checking our blog! This will be a great place for you to see our prices as well as keeping you updated on our specials through out the Thanksgiving/Christmas season. We are now accepting sessions for Christmas! Many people have already started to book us for their large family gatherings so please feel free to call for pricing for your specific needs (713) 498.6738. Another exciting event we have going on during the month of December is our 'PORTRAITS IN THE SNOW' event. We are SO excited about this! We know that living in Texas, the chances of seeing snow are as slim as the water in Galveston turning blue! =) SO- this year, we thought it would be fun for the children (and their parents...and dogs too) to come out and have their Christmas portraits taken in the snow! (I do have to let you know that it's not real snow, but it looks and feels just like it and the great thing is....it won't melt in our Houston heat!) Here's the deal- we are having 10 sessions each weekend (6 on Saturday, starting at 9am and 4 on Sunday, starting at 1pm!) The sessions are one hour long. During this time we will take the "formal" pictures in the studio (Black/ white shirts are classic and always looks beautiful) and then we will do half of the session outside in the snow (so bring your mittens, scarves and hats!) Here are the dates:

Saturday and Sunday, December 6th and 7th
Saturday and Sunday, December 13th and 14th

Pricing: We have a few options, you can either chose to purchase a package, or you may purchase A La Carte! You will get a better deal if you purchase a package. You may chose to add more to your package if you would like! All of your images will be placed online for 2 months for you to view after purchase (So that Aunt Sallie can see them in Florida!) Also- all of your purchased images will be retouched.

Senior Postcards are in the mail!

Last Wednesday we sent out our first round of Senior Postcards! We have already recieved wonderful feedback, so if you got a postcard, make sure you book your session ASAP!!!! Here is a view of the front and back of the postcards we sent out:

First Blog!

Hello everyone!


This is my first time to blog for Linda Holmes Photography! I just wanted to say thank you to those who will read this! I have so much to say, but instead of making this ridiculously long, I'll just spread it out over a few days! We are about to send out our first 2009 senior mailing; we are super excited for people to receive them! Anyways, I'm always looking for new things to make our photography studio different from others, so I decided to try my hand at underwater portraits. So this weekend I grabbed a few items and then headed to the pool..and came back with these:


Not too bad for the first try!!! So, if you are wanting to do something like this for your senior portraits, give me a call and you'll have the most awesome portraits!
