“Memory is a way of holding on to the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose.” Kevin Arnold

One of my best friends, Shelly, (the who was brave enough to backpack Europe with me in February) titled my blog today: “Memory is a way of holding on to the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose.” How true is that? Having Portraits taken is a way to have a memory that you can hold in your hands (and your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will get to hold in their hands as well!) As a photographer, it is such an incredible honor and blessing to create memories for my clients, and their future generations!
It's been a very busy and fun week around the studio! Not only has the weather been incredible for the outdoor sessions, the indoor ones were loads of fun as well! Here are a few sessions from this week:

Sweet Ava
Little Ava came to be photographed for her 6 month session. Ava was one of my favorite sessions that I have ever had! This little piece of sunshine completely made my day...Her laugh will melt your heart in a split second! Thank you Duane for sending her to me!..And Brittney, your baby girl is absolutely amazing!

Kyra
Kyra, her mom and I headed down to Galveston this week to take her senior portraits! We had an incredible time! Kyra is such a fun loving, free spirited girl who I KNOW is going to do great things in her life. Kyra, thank you for asking me to photograph you! You are so sweet, and I am SO proud of you!

Baby Macie
It has been such a joy to see how the lives of those around me are always changing and growing! I went to high school with Macie's mommy (Brittney) and I was so excited when she asked me to photograph Macie as a newborn! Thank you Brittney for allowing me the honor to make these sweet memories for you! Macie is such a tiny little blessing! Congrats to you, Travis and Kody on your new little bundle of joy!

Just Catching up!

Hey Everyone! So sorry for taking so long to update the blog (Yes, I know there are no excuses!) 2010 has already been an awesome year! I took the month of February off to go on vacation and have a much needed break! During my time off, I backpacked Europe (Italy, Greece and Germany) with one of my best friends from college. She and I had an amazing time (here are 100 of my favorite pics!)

I love this time of year A.) because I LOVE spring, the weather in Texas is hands down the best!.. and B.) One thing spring always seems to bring is lots (and LOTS) of wonderful little babies! I have had a great time this month photographing beautiful Momma's to be, and then their new little slices of heaven!
Spring break is also a great reason to celebrate March! I love having a week full of Seniors (and I also celebrated my 24th birthday)!
Here is a few of the people that I have been privileged to know:

Cortney and Brett:
One word to describe this couple: ADORABLE. As a woman of many words, you know I can't just leave it at one word! Cortney and Brett are the sweetest couple! They were such good sports!!! (Ladies, just for the record..Brett even will carry her purse, WITH OUT her even asking...) I'm gonna go ahead and say it out loud, "HE'S A KEEPER!!!!" ;) Cortney and Brett- thank you so much for asking me to make these memories for you...I adore both of you!

The Brown's
If I had just one question to ask myself over and over...it would simply be, "How on earth are there people THIS NICE?!" The entire Brown family (Mom, dad, two sweet children, their dog, and even grandma!) are the NICEST people on the planet. I truly mean that too...and I'm just going to say, this family is GORGEOUS! Molly and Brendon make the CUTEST babies. Hands down...and the way those two sweet kids interact with each other..it's priceless!!! Molly- I can't wait to work with you guys in the future- you're amazing!

Baby Dylan
Sweet little Dylan is the newest pride and joy of one of me and my husbands friends! (You might remember their maternity portraits listed previously on the blog). Anyways, Little Dylan was born in January...and he had a much awaited arrival! His Momma, Becky, wanted to wait and find out (at birth) what they were having. So, all our friends took bets on what she would have! Dylan is the sweetest, and CUTEST little guy! He has light blue eyes and bright blonde hair..enough to melt a woman's heart from a mile away! Congrats Becky and Travis on your new bundle of fabulousness!!!

Adrienne and Joseph
I don't think I have enough time to tell you all of the wonderful things That I could say about this couple! Adrienne was referred to me by a fellow vendor (Thank you Tristan!). From the second I met her, I KNEW I would like her! She is so spunky, has a fun and outgoing personality and is SUPER stylish! Joseph, Adrienne's husband, is hilarious. I don't think I have ever laughed that much during a session. He kept giving Adrienne a "gun show" (showing his arm muscles)...oh, I crack up just thinking about it! These two love birds are going to make the most amazing parents to their sweet baby girl! Adrienne, thank you so much for your positivity and sweet and encouraging spirit, you hands down, are the most gorgeous momma, inside and out!

Katie
I first met Katie when I did her family's Christmas Portraits (see blog below!) She comes from such an amazing family! Katie is one of the sweetest seniors I have ever met! She had so much confidence (which I LOVE!). One thing I loved about her session, is you could tell that she came ready to have fun! She couldn't have wished for a better day, and I couldn't have wished for a better senior on that day! Katie, You are the sweetest! Thank you so much for asking me to make these memories of your senior year for you! You are SO gorgeous (and your curls are to die for!!)

WOW! Has it really been two months???

I just realized that my last post was two months ago! I am super thankful that I have been so busy- but I should never be too busy to post videos of all my beautiful (and wonderful!!) clients! So here is a post of a few things: and of course- more to come later!

The Melinder Family-
Such a SWEET family!..If you have never met them- you are missing out BIG time! They are incredibly kind and so wonderful to be around. Robbie and Elizabeth have three GORGEOUS girls- and two sweet four legged girls too!!! Thank you Melinder Family for asking me to do family portraits of you guys...you are WONDERFUL!!!!

Gracylu Originals
This past week I had the chance to work with an awesome local vendor (Tristian) who is the owner of Gracylu Originals. You can see her at the end of the video- she is GORGEOUS one in the black dress and the fabulously huge coutoure headpeice! She makes awesome bows for children and she has just started a new bridal line...Check out her blog: www.bowsandmorebygracylu.blogspot.com

The Ciranni Family
My Aunt asked me to do a few super quick portraits of her side of the family for their Christmas Portraits! They are one awesome Italian family (and YES- they know how to cook!!!) My aunt makes a MEAN Italian Stuffing! (Maybe someday I will steal the recipie from her and post it online so you guys can get a glimpse of the awesome-ness!) Here is their video:

Becky and Travis (Layla, Cash and Baby P!)
Travis and Becky are good friends of my husband and I. Travis and Becky are one of the sweetest couples I know!..I absolutely can't wait to see this baby (they are waiting to find out what they are having!)..I know whether it is a girl or boy- they are going to be one COOL kid!!! Congrats you two on the sweetest adventure of your life...Thank you so much for asking me to be a part of it!

Custom Christmas Card Samples

Here are a few samples from this year's line of Custom Christmas cards I have designed. (I will be adding a few more soon). They will all be wrapped in a coordinating color paper and tied with a ribbon (or jewel) and stuffed into the envelope- so all you have to do is address and stamp them!
